The blockchain buzz & the underline concepts Yes! the whole world is going crazy and hyped up about blockchain. We see a huge movement of blockchain based technology rapidly growing in the industry. Whats the underline concept on blockchain ? Why does everyone say its going to be the next biggest industrial revolution in the world ? or is everyone just hyped about it ? Well if you look at how quickly blockchain has hit the industry ,i would personally say it has truly leapfrogged its way other than any other technology in the world. The facebook & Cambridge analytica data breach drama has opened millions of peoples eyes in the world. Before this no one really didn't care how facebook's advertisement business model operated, but now people are starting to question whether this model of advertising and digital marketing is ethical ? We all know facebook & other technology giants such as Google collect huge amount of data of people around the world. This includes search patterns, profile information , mobile phone location information and the list goes on and on. We as users trust that our data would be secure (trusting that its all encrypted and not accessible by anyone in the cloud and all that jazz). But is it really secure ? just look at the facebook incident, and also is our personal information used in unethical ways for campaign targeting & advertising. I spoke on Artificial Intelligence (Ai) in one of Microsoft's Largest Cloud meet ups in the country which is the Microsoft Azure summit held at the Taj colombo on the 4.4.18. My theme of the presentation was on how Ai is been democratized by giving the true power of this cutting edge technology into the hands of any person in the world. As long as you are a dreamer and have great ideas which can touch millions of people, then developing a solution is just a click away. I Also touched on the various real world applications of Ai including - Language understanding - Vision Recognition - Speech Recognition - ML - Knowledge Management and many more. It was really an exciting event to be part of and to see many companies and technology experts given their thoughts on Ai as well.
